Born as much through the Treasury team’s desire to write something, as the need for a fortnightly magazine reflecting life in lock-down, HOME TIED is a wonderful combination of the ‘then’ and ‘now’.
An A5 magazine that was ambitiously produced fortnightly, it adopted a simple mantra. Whereas The Watford Treasury is about rhistory for the present, HOME TIED took the view we were writing about the present for history.
Along with articles you’d expect, looking back to all eras of the club’s past, the present was also very much in the mix. We spoke to Nigel Gibbs, Steve Palmer and Richard Lee about their lives in lock-down. Featured Watford’s engagement with their NHS neighbours, some great photography of an empty Vicarage Road as football returned, as well as images showing what life was like at the club’s London Colney training ground.
With a wealth of original photography, HOME TIED is a visual treat as well as an extremely engaging read.
In very limited numbers only, all nine issues are available as a bundle to purchase online for the tempting price of just £20 including postage (this offer is for UK ONLY).
